My Better Half +2

I would engage the world as my ally I would engage the world Against jealous fear and bitter ambition That only aspires to the done and the dead I went down to the sea Don't care if you don't believe me It spoke to me about my life It spoke with the voice of reason It told me to risk it all with the chance of nothing returned Isn't that the task of love? Isn't that the challenge of love today? I went down to the sea Don't care if you don't believe me It spoke to me about my life It spoke with the voice of reason It told me to risk it all with the chance of nothing returned Why do we make it so hard? Why live our lives in distance? Why do we make it so hard? I thought life should be a chance to defeat statistics I thought life should be a chance And if sometimes I don't pursue it The sea speaks my better half

Say what you want to say. What you need is a stick in the eye. Spend all the loans on praise and revere. But no one means a word they say. Born at the top. Born to believe that we’re true sworn enemies. They love it. They love it. No one means a word they say. You got it. But you ooze hypocrisy. The cars are burning. Wait. Are we laughing at the right clown? or did I dream it? Say that you’re sorry to offend now but don’t mean it. No apologies. All apologies. No one means a word they say. Say you’re gonna try to make things right but you ooze hypocrisy. You got it. Your crime is not important. It’s time to appear to pick a side. A prime example of a decline of reason in the mind Wait. Are we laughing at the right clown? or did I dream it? Say that you’re sorry to offend now but don’t mean it. Wait. Are we laughing at the right clown? Yeah I dreamed it. Empty promises/false promises. Can’t believe a word they say. You’re scared because they’re right. You’re scared because you’re blind. All alone in the middle of the mob line. All alone in the middle of the mob line. You’re scared. You’re scared. You’re scared. All alone in the middle of the mob line. All alone in the middle of the mob line. Say what you want to say. What you need is a stick in the eye. Say what you want to say. What you need is a stick in the eye. Your crime is not important. It’s time to appear to pick a side. A prime example of a decline of reason in the mind. Wait. Are we laughing at the right clown? or did I dream it? Say that you’re sorry to offend now but don’t mean it. Wait. Are we laughing at the right clown? Yeah I dreamed it.

You’re telling me that it’s complicated. Now I see we’re becoming jaded. We’re dying now, but this is about you. A beat cop on patrol relaying a point of view that we’re all displaying. You’re trying now, to reason above you. Push and bleed and show us we fear them. Sell more violence. Insomniac, try to settle down. Because the truth is biting back and they can see you now. The blue set to attack. Try to settle down. Because the truth is biting back and they can see you now. You’re telling me that I overstated the giant wound that we all created. We’re crying out, and now this is on you. Click. Post. Eyes are glued. Relating raw skin primed for mutilating. You’re lying now, but this never was true. You’re telling me that it’s complicated. Now I know that we’re satiated. It’s over now.

about

On "My Better Half +2", BREAK TO BROKEN start with a deep-track cover from the short-lived Dischord band, One Last Wish.

The EP also includes the new track, “Sorry, Not Sorry,” an original banger from the writing sessions of their first album that the band revisited and finalized.

They close things out with Eli Nowak’s emotional and somber acoustic version of “On The Beat,“ a song originally featured on their 2022 LP, The War on Sparrows.

With "My Better Half +2", BREAK TO BROKEN continue to transcend physical limitations and produce some solid-sounding material.
